It depends on your cycle length. Count the days from the first day of your period to the first day of your next period to find your average cycle length, then use the When to Start Chart in your instructions to find your start day. For a 28-day cycle, start testing on day 11.
-
Collect urine in a clean, dry container between 10am and 10pm.
Dip the strip for 10–15 seconds, then lay it flat for 5–10 minutes.
Use the Test Reader Colour Card to match your test line to a number on the 0–80 mIU/mL scale.
Record it on the LH Fluctuation Curve Chart to track your hormone rising toward its peak.
-
The LH Fluctuation Curve Chart lets you plot your daily LH readings so you can see your hormone pattern across your cycle. When you connect the dots, your LH peak becomes clearly visible, that's the point closest to ovulation.

The Early Detection tests can be used up to 5 days before your expected period, though accuracy increases as your period gets closer.
The Standard tests are best from the first day of your expected period, when they are over 99% accurate. First morning urine gives the highest hCG concentration for both. -
The Early Detection test is more sensitive. It detects hCG at 10 mIU/mL, so it can pick up a pregnancy sooner. It’s 99% accurate up to 3 days before an expected period.
The Standard test detects hCG at 25 mIU/mL and is over 99% accurate from the day of your expected period. The bundle includes both so you can test early and confirm closer to your period. -

Most common medications, including pain relief, antibiotics, and hormonal contraceptives, don't affect the tests.
Fertility drugs containing hCG can cause a false positive on pregnancy tests if taken too soon after administration.
For alcohol, we'd suggest avoiding testing right after drinking.
If you're getting unexpected results, speak with your doctor. -
No, each strip is single use only. You can reuse your own glass or plastic collection container, just make sure it's clean and dry each time.
-
Yes. Take the average of your last three cycles to work out your typical cycle length, then use the When to Start Chart in your instructions to find your start day.
Tracking your LH numerically over multiple cycles helps you understand your personal hormone pattern, especially useful when cycles are unpredictable. -
The ovulation tests can be used during perimenopause.
The Early Detection Pregnancy Test is not recommended during menopause or perimenopause, as elevated pituitary hCG levels can cause false positive results.
The Standard Pregnancy Test (25 mIU/mL) is the better option for pregnancy testing at this life stage. If you're unsure, speak with your doctor. -
The Standard Pregnancy Test is over 99% accurate from the day of your expected period.
The Early Detection test is over 99% accurate from the day before your expected period, with accuracy reducing the earlier you test — 96% at 4 days before, 78% at 5 days before.
The ovulation tests provide numerical LH readings across a 0–80 mIU/mL scale.
Hormone levels vary between individuals, so earlier testing may not reflect a final result. -
Two lines means positive — even if the test line is faint. One line in the control area only means negative.
No line in the control area means the test is invalid — repeat with a new strip. If you get a faint positive, test again in 48 hours. The line will darken as hCG levels rise. -
Our dip and read strips use approximately 90% less material than standard midstream tests. We describe them as eco-friendlier rather than plastic-free, because we believe in being accurate about what that means.

Most ovulation tests give you a positive or a negative. The bébé bloom Ovulation Test gives you a number: a numerical LH value across a range of 0–80 mIU/mL, so you can see your hormone rising before your peak, not just when it arrives. It is TGA-registered in Australia (ARTG 351757). Here is how the different types of ovulation tests compare, and how to choose the one that gives you the most useful information.
