Frequently asked questions

  • The bundle includes:

    • 15 x Ovulation Tests (dip and read)

    • 3 x Early Detection Pregnancy Tests

    • 2 x Pregnancy Tests

    • 3 x Instruction Leaflets

    • 1 x Colour Reference Card

    • 1 x LH Fluctuation Curve Chart
This kit provides everything you need to track ovulation and test for pregnancy at home.

  • Use the printed When to Start chart included in your kit to calculate your testing start date based on your average cycle length.

  • Dip the test strip into your urine for 10 seconds, lay it flat, and wait 5–10 minutes.

If the test line is as dark or darker than the control line, your Luteinising Hormone (LH surge) has begun.

This means you’re likely to ovulate in the next 24–36 hours.

  • The Luteinising Hormone (LH) Fluctuation Curve Chart helps you track your hormone levels over time.

By recording your ovulation test results daily, the chart allows you to visualise your Luteinising Hormone pattern and pinpoint your most fertile days with greater confidence.

  • Use the Early Detection Pregnancy Test up to five days before your expected period. Use the Standard Pregnancy Test from the day your period is due. First-morning urine is recommended for both.

  • The Early Detection test is more sensitive and detects lower levels of hCG. It’s suitable for earlier testing. The Standard Pregnancy Test is ideal if you're testing from the day of your missed period.

  • Our video guides are available below these FAQ’s and also on the Learn page of our website.

  • Some medications, especially fertility treatments containing human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) or Luteinising Hormone (LH) can interfere with results.

While alcohol doesn’t directly change hormone levels, it may affect your hydration and concentration of hormones in urine. For the most accurate result, we recommend avoiding alcohol before testing and using first-morning urine when possible.

  • No. All test strips are single-use only and should be discarded after use.

  • es, but it’s helpful to track for 2–3 months first to understand your average cycle length. The LH tracking card is designed to help with this.

  • Our standard Pregnancy Test can be used if you suspect pregnancy during perimenopause.

We don’t recommend Early Detection Pregnancy tests in this stage due to hormonal fluctuations.

  • All bébé bloom tests are clinically validated and meet Australian safety and quality standards. They are over 99% accurate when used as directed.

  • Two lines mean pregnant, even if one is faint. One line means not pregnant.

Every kit includes visual instructions to help with interpretation.

  • Our dip-and-read strips are designed to use around 90% less material than midstream tests, because they don’t have the bulky single-use plastic casing. This means less waste and a lighter impact on the planet, while still giving you clear, accurate results when trying to conceive.

    Disposal and recycling:

    • The outer retail carton and paper leaflet are recyclable.

    • The foil sachet that holds each test strip must remain non-recyclable under TGA regulation, to keep every test sterile and safe.

    • The test strip itself should go into general waste once used, as it comes into contact with urine.

In the past, we’ve used the phrase “plastic-free” to describe our tests. While our dip-and-read strips avoid the bulky casing of midstream tests, we know that term can cause confusion. We now describe them as eco-friendlier and low-tox — a clearer reflection of the progress we’ve made so far.

We’re committed to keeping our impact as low as possible, and to being open about the steps we’re taking now and the improvements we’re working on next.
